As a family medicine physician, I noticed a lack of wellness and nutrition information available to the patients in my practice. I figure that if one small practice of patients is misinformed, probably the majority of the world population is also misinformed. I created this website to provide YOU with all the tools I have to keep you healthy and THRIVING in your life! Here, you will find information about my osteopathic manipulative medicine practice, my intuitive eating coaching (anywhere in the world!), BellyBoxAerobics workout videos, and my food recipes.
Before we get started, let me tell you a little about my background:
I was born and raised in Argentina. There, physicians treat patients as a whole. The focus is the person and his/her quality of life. By providing this approach, the specific ailments of the patient are also taken care of but without losing site of the “big picture” that is the patient’s life. I moved to Miami with my parents and siblings in 2002. At the time, my goal was to become a psychologist, to help people with their mental quality of life. But then, I was introduced to osteopathic medicine (D.O.), in which the patient is treated mind, body and soul. This covered the psychological aspect and the physical aspect. It reminded me of my family physician growing up. I knew this was my calling.
In my quest to become a physician, I discovered that I needed to practice what I preached: eat well, sleep soundly, and exercise. I promised myself that I would never tell my patients to do something that I wasn’t doing myself. So my quest to heal my own body, mind, and soul, began.
I had been athletic my entire life, but I was overweight because my diet consisted mainly of chocolate bars. I decided to change my eating habits, but went to an extreme of being overly-concerned with certain “bad” foods and restricted my intake. I eventually discovered intuitive eating and became a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor in July, 2020, with direct guidance from the original proposers of intuitive eating, Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch. In my quest for health, I quickly realized that a nurturing diet is hard to keep up with nowadays, so I developed different tricks to eat healthy on the go and started supplementing my lifestyle with the appropriate vitamins and minerals.
In my journey toward wellness, I became a published writer of poetry and prose. This helps me heal my mind. My most recent published book is the edit and translation of the autobiography of my great-grandfather’s experience during World War I. I also became a belly-dancer and CrossFitter, which help me heal my body. I just started my own cosmetics business as nurturing the body on the outside is as important as nurturing your body on the inside. My other hobbies include photography, hiking, and singing.
The quest for wellness is ever-evolving for each of us. My passion is to help people achieve great quality of life! In order to do this, we need to strive towards wellness. I am here to help you!
